Diving Holidays in Tanzania

A mecca for keen divers and amateurs alike, the crystal blue waters and unspoilt reefs make the islands and coastal regions of Tanzania the ideal location for a once in a lifetime diving holiday.

Because of Tanzania’s infamy as a leading safari holiday location, people often neglect to think of Tanzania as a coastal country, but with the mainland lapped by the warm blue waters of The Indian Ocean and numerous islands scattered through the seas, Tanzania is very much a country at one with its waters.

While it can be difficult for some to plan for holidays with children, Wild Exploration Safari specialise in meeting your needs, so it’s no trouble for us at all. We can help you find lodges with family rooms and tailor private safaris to fit your requirements.

Kids can explore tracks, dress up as maasai, visit a local school or family and see lots of very exciting animals.

We would always recommend that you choose a private safari as this enables you to tailor your game drives to suit your family. Your driver/guide will always make the days interesting as well as educational with their vast knowledge of the local wildlife and the country itself. Zanzibar and Mafia are fantastic destinations for families with their long, sunny beaches and opportunities for both play and relaxation.

Look at our lodge selection below, specially chosen for families. Facilities include catering for children, kids’ clubs and children’s pools. Baby-sitting services are also offered so that parents can enjoy some quality time alone.

Zanzibar Beach & Tanzania Spa Holidays

If you want to relax after a long day or two of safari, or if you just want to relax, Tanzania is a great holiday destination for its fabulous east coast beaches and for the islands of Zanzibar. Imagine watching the blue Indian Ocean lapping the shores.

Or how about listening to the Indian Ocean lapping up the beach with the distant sound of a lion’s roar in the background. Sit back, watch the sunset over the bush and relax. A stay at Saadani will offer this and so much more.

The islands evoke intrigue, unique culture and pure indulgence. There is mile upon mile of uncrowded pure white unspoiled beaches, with the warm Indian Ocean lapping up the sands.

Whether you’re here as the extension to a safari, on a honeymoon or just want a warm, relaxing holiday, the tropical islands of Pemba, Mafia or Zanzibar

are a truly stunning location and well worth the visit. Find out more here.

If snorkeling or diving is your passion, the deeper waters around Pemba have retained their untouched formations; on a clear day visibility can be up to 150 feet. You can go wall-diving at a variety of spectacular sites, see large marine life and enjoy amazing clarity of water in Pemba, making it one of the best diving locations in East Africa.

We use a few carefully selected lodges and hotels to offer our clients further peace and tranquility, or for the young at heart there are livelier resorts which are superb fun.

Tanzania Safari Holidays

We understand that for most a safari is a once is a lifetime adventure evoking great excitement and expectation.  A safari and beach holiday is the perfect mix and will offer you fun, great wildlife experiences and relaxation.  Tanzania a safari destination hard to beat!

You can choose a safari in a four wheel vehicle a foot safari, safari by horseback, boat and even hot air balloon. There are excellent road and air links to reach each location and other parts of Africa.

The northern parks of Tanzania: Ngorongoro Crater the immense Serengeti plains,  Manyara,  Tarangire and Arusha

The southern parks of Tanzania: Selous Game Reserve, Ruaha, Saadani, Mikumi and Udzungwa

The southern park have spectacular scenery – some of the best Tanzania safari guides who really know their stuff.  They will guide you with grace, expertise and a lot of laughs.

Selous is perfect for a safari if you are on a limited budget and only have a few days – 45 minutes flying time  from Dar or Zanzibar.

The western parks of Tanzania: Katavi, Mahale and Gombe

Western Tanzania is in a very different league to the north and south.  Katavi on average receives 500 visitors per annum, compare this to 350 per day in the Serengeti.

Katavi is unspoiled and untamed.  It is remote and ideal for those who prefer game viewing in peace and solitude.  This undiscovered wilderness is awash with plains game and predators.

Mahale has a striking lakeside setting with the best possible chance of wild chimpanzee viewing.
